1°   Terme d'antiquité romaine. Projet de loi présenté au peuple.
•   Tiberius Gracchus fit ordonner qu'on les prendrait [les juges] dans l'ordre des chevaliers : changement si considérable, que le tribun se vanta d'avoir, par une seule rogation, coupé les nerfs de l'ordre des sénateurs, MONTESQ. Esp. XI, 18.
2°   Au plur. Terme de liturgie catholique. Prières publiques et processions pour les biens de la terre, pendant les trois jours qui précèdent l'Ascension (il s'écrit avec une majuscule).
•   Aujourd'hui ils m'ont donné un si magnifique repas en maigre à cause des Rogations, que le moindre poisson paraissait la signora Balena, SÉV. 429.
