(bé-lè-mni-t') s. f.
Terme d'histoire naturelle. Coquille fossile, de forme allongée, qui n'a pas d'analogue vivante.
   Terme grec signifiant pierre de foudre, dérivé de trait, carreau, dérivé de trait, javelot, dérivé du verbe grec lancer (voy. balistique).
