1°   Réunion d'individus dont chacun convient de jouir viagèrement de l'intérêt de son capital et de l'abandonner ensuite aux survivants qui se partageront les rentes. 4°   Adj. Rentes tontines, Rapport Montesquiou, 27 août 1790, pièces justificatives.
5°   Sorte de jeu de cartes auquel peuvent prendre part douze, quinze et même vingt personnes.
