régurgitation
(ré-gur-ji-ta-sion) s. f.
   Action par laquelle un conduit ou un réservoir se débarrasse des matières qui y sont amoncelées et qui refluent par son ouverture.
   Terme de médecine. Vomiturition naturelle et nullement pénible par laquelle l'enfant rejette par gorgées les aliments qui surchargent son estomac. La régurgitation est commune chez les nourrissons.
   Mode de digestion propre aux ruminants, par lequel les aliments sont dégorgés pour être mâchés et avalés une seconde fois.
   XVIe s.
   Et pour la regurgitation du sang qui remontoit en haut, avoit le ventre fort enflé et tendu, PARÉ XVIII, 50.
