   ROMAND. Ajoutez :
   On dit aussi la Suisse romane. Il est probable que le vrai mot était Suisse romane, et qu'on ne l'a assez généralement changé en Suisse romande que pour l'opposer mieux à Suisse allemande.
   Cette addition fournit l'occasion de corriger au Supplément des fautes qui se sont glissées dans la note communiquée par M. Berthoud, et dont il m'adresse la rectification. D'abord il est évident qu'on doit lire : jamais on ne dit chalet en pays romand (et non châlet). De plus il n'y a de chalets proprement dits que dans la partie alpestre de la Suisse romande et dans le Jura.
