(ba-lo-te-man) s. m.
Action de ballotter, mouvement communiqué au corps qui est ainsi poussé. Le ballottement du canot par la mer soulevée.
   Terme d'obstétrique. L'impulsion qui, communiquée au foetus dans le ventre de la mère, se fait sentir au doigt, et qui est un des signes physiques de la grossesse.
