   Terme d'architecture. Petit étage pratiqué entre deux grands.
   Petite fenêtre carrée comme celles qu'on pratique aux entre-sols.
   Adjectivement. Fenêtre mezzanine.
   Ital. mezzano, qui est au milieu, de mezzo (voy. ce mot).
