Celui, celle qui a tué sa mère.
   On dit plutôt, même en parlant d'une mère, parricide : le parricide Oreste.
   Lat. matricida, de mater, mère, et caedere, tuer.

1. MATRICIDE. Ajoutez : - HIST. XVIe s.
   Nous confessons qu'en nostre ville jadis y a eu un parricide et en Argos un matricide ; mais quant à nous, nous avons chassé et banny de noz païs ceux qui ont commis telles malheuretez, AMYOT Plut. Oeuv. mor. t. XV, p. 345.
