(ja-ni-sèps') s. m.
Terme de tératologie. Nom de monstres qui, ayant deux corps intimement unis au-dessus de l'ombilic commun, ont une double tète à deux faces directement opposées.
   Lat. Janus, Janus, divinité à deux faces, et ceps pour caput, tête.
