   Celui qui pratique l'art de rechercher les sources, les eaux souterraines.
   Particulièrement. Celui que l'on suppose avoir la faculté de sentir les émanations des eaux souterraines.
   Terme dérivé de deux mots grecs traduits par eau et examiner.
