Terme de marine. Corde munie de boules et pendant autour des bouées de sauvetage. Deux hommes peuvent se sauver facilement au moyen de ces nouvelles bouées, qui sont attachées à une ligne de 500 brasses ; grâce à cette dernière, elles sont dirigées vers les hommes à la mer, qui n'ont besoin que de saisir un des hannais pour se trouver confortablement installés, Lett. de Bordeaux, dans Journ. offic. 11 sept. 1873, p. 5830, 3e col.
