(an-bu-lan-s') s. f.
1°   Établissement hospitalier temporaire, formé près des corps ou des divisions d'armée, pour en suivre les mouvements, et destiné à assurer les premiers secours aux blessés et autres malades.
2°   Établissement provisoire formé pour donner les premiers soins à des blessés ou à des malades. On a établi des ambulances dans chaque quartier.
3°   Emploi d'un commis des contributions indirectes, dont l'office est de parcourir incessamment un certain district.
