Terme didactique. Qui communique, qui établit une communication. Deux artères, toutes deux situées dans le crâne, ont reçu le nom d'artères communicantes.
   Tubes ou vases communicants, appareil employé dans les cours de physique, pour démontrer les lois de l'équilibre des liquides.
